M12 motorway set for take-off with contractors announced

The new M12 Motorway will form a critical link between the Nancy-Bird Walton Airport and Greater Western Sydney. I joined Premier Dom Perrottet, Minister Paul Fletcher, and Minister The Hon Natalie Ward MLC to announce that construction will be starting on the M12 within months.

The 16-kilometre M12 will provide modern, safe and efficient access to the world-class Western Sydney Airport - and it's toll-free!

Major works are expected to commence in the middle of this year, with construction completed ahead of the airport opening in 2026.

As with the NSW Government's other investments in Western Sydney, the M12 will provide a significant economic and employment boost, with construction expected to generate up to 2,400 jobs.

The M12 will provide direct access to the airport and link Elizabeth Drive and the Westlink M7 in Cecil Hills to The Northern Road in Luddenham.

Up to 52,000 vehicles will use the M12 every day, saving commuters up to 16 minutes in travel time between the M7 and the airport by 2036.
